mmmmm....carrots and apples

her little friend...

Paisley fell asleep in her bouncy seat and I just happened to glance over to see what she was snuggling...awwww:

she loves her dolly but at least it isn't shoved in her mouth at this moment like it is most of the time...thanks Nonni for her dolly though

St. Nicholas 2012

On the night of Dec. 5 you put your boot out by the door and hope that St. Nicholas will bring you a small surprise that you get when you awake on Dec. 6.  check this out for a little more detail: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Nicholas

we always do a small present... and usually candy but his year we did a small present and an ornament for the girls and josh got a small present and I got a movie and some chocolate to share with Adey

Adey bug checking things out

St. Nicholas knows her pretty well and gave her a my little pony with SPIKE the dragon which she has been wanting to complete all her little pony set and it came with a hot air balloon that makes noises

Paisley poo got a musical/educational noise toy which she seems to enjoy the blinking light...one day soon she will know how to push the buttons and turn the knobs her self

I love this tradition we do with our family...I have done this since I was a little girl and glad Josh likes it so much that we have carried it on...now we can just hope our girls do the same with their own families when they are much MUCH older...lol

Christmas 2012

this year we have gotten/made some new ornaments that I wanted to share:

I made this for us...an 'F' for fullmer and '06' for when our family started

this I made for Josh...he attends the University of Utah...they are called the Utes

we bought these from the Disney Store but were for Adey and Paisley from St. Nicholas this year

I made these...however this is for a tradition we started this year...the letter that girls write each year will be put in the envelopes and for Santa to read when he arrives at our tree (we helped Adey write hers this year and Adey wanted to write Paisleys...)

I bought this one at Shopko

I bought this one at Shopko too..one for each girl...and will write our memories of each Christmas every year in it...they are little notebook ornaments...such a good idea

This last thing isn't an ornament but just a decor I made with the girls.  I want to eventually get a stand for it and find a better place to display it...but for our temp. home it sits in our living room on our end table:

I found this idea on pinterest but changed it up a little to add my character to it

Pinterest success...

Thank you for who ever invented pinterest.  I can't tell you how many meal ideas I have found and made to be successful to arts/crafts for me or Adey to super cute house decor to presents I have made to so much more...I love the idea of pinning all the nifty stuff out there and coming back.  I love my folder I have created of my future home (which one day Josh and I hope to build our dream within the next like 5 to 10 years depending on jobs and school and location).  I love all the art project ideas Adey and I have made and had fun in doing so.  I JUST LOVE PINTEREST...who cares what others who disagree may say....but look at this genius idea I found:

each outfit carefully put together in a bag...how easy is that to get my kids dressed while on vacation?!

I mean look...shoes, bows, hair ties/headbands, socks, tops, bottoms, undies, jewelry...all together in one bag!

dry products in one bag and wet in another to prevent spillage onto things that aren't easily washable

now I won't have to worry about loosing a hair tie or things getting tangled.  I just have them pick out the outfit they want to wear, hand it to them, and they get dressed...I just LOVE this idea!

homemade baby food

So for awhile now Josh and I have been watching and reading up on different food products and learning what is actually healthy and not healthy.  Almost a year ago we made the decision to slowly stop buying products that have the following: processed food, high fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, high in sodium.  We have been buying more fresh fruits and veggies and been making most of our products like spaghetti sauces and breads and many other things.  When Adey was a baby we made her food and knew that was the way to go with Paisley too.  It was/is not only cheaper but so much healthier for our children.  Adey is such a good eater and will eat her fruits and veggies and almost ALWAYS try new things.  We are so grateful for that and with that said...Paisley is almost 6 months old and the baby food making time has begun.

I have made all this from 4 apples, 3 bananas, 1 can of peas (no salt added), 2 pears, 3 carrots...and has made these 14 jars and 2 which she has already tried...such a money saver and healthier for our little girl.  Here are the combinations I have came up with and roughly the price match along with it and how many meals it made for her:

Apples and Carrots:
*2 apples
*3 carrots
*little bit of water
put all products in blender and blend until smooth or what stage your child is at
made 4 meals for like .15 cents a meal

Bananas
*3 bananas
*little bit of water
mix in blender until at desired consistency
made 4 meals again for like .15 cents a meal

Apples, peas, and pears
*1 can of peas
*2 apples
*2 pears
*little bit of water
mix in blender until at desired consistency
made 8 meals at about .25 cents a meal

Another day at Gardner Village

A few weeks ago I was doing a photo shoot for the Kellam's family (which turned out great if I do say so myself) but anyway my girls always tag along with me on photo shoots.  This one was near Gardner Village on the Jordan River Trail which we walked from our house to so we could get some fresh air/exercise (much needed).  And so afterwards we went to feed our duck friends...crackers instead of bread.

While Adey fed ducks and I took pics...this is what Miss P was doing:

trying to go to sleep...you can tell by her lil nose that is was quite cold...and windy by the by

I personally think duck feet are so interesting....

then we stopped on the bridge to take a few photos of this beauty (Paisley was for sure asleep at this point)

these are all unedited by the way...can't wait to find some time to work on them and then have them printed.  I think they turned out pretty good for just being "for fun" pics!

After these we headed over to sweet Aftons...our favorite little treat shop.  Adey picked out this sour candy this time and this is what she personally thought of it (pictures don't do justice)

needless to say she didn't want anymore...oh well not a sour fan!

then we stopped by a cool tree before we headed out and I just love my little model...

my camera is one of the best presents anyone has ever given me...thanks mom and dad!  I sure have developed a talent and love for photography!  i would also say my skills are coming along nicely

tiny pieces...

here is our perfect angel:

She is absolutely PERFECT...sometimes i wish they could stay long forever but then again with Adey I have enjoyed the different stages she has gone through the many more to come (I love watching her learn and develop new things and I am grateful she is a kid that just keeps trying and amazing us each day with how smart and talented and beautiful she is).  With Paisley I anxiously await to watch her grow (and sleep through the night).  For now I will enjoy her snuggles and smiles and giggles.  She is lazy just like Adey was and prefers to just lay there and not roll (which I honestly don't mind most of the time).  She is pretty easy to keep happy and is content just laying on her play mat batting at the many toys she has attached it.  Today Adey blew her some bubbles and she seemed to enjoy them.  We are currently working on rolling over and sitting up.  I occasionally let her try new foods but just a bite or two.  I have a feeling she too will love food just as much as her big sissy!
